TRIALS AND TESTS
EARTHDOG TESTS
Earthdog is the one terrier sport that works with the dogs instincts rather than training them to do things that aren't really natural to them. As such, it is often the most fun for the dog. Earthdog training is available through the Wire Fox Terrier Club in Metamora each spring and summer. For more information on upcoming events, go to www.akc.org and choose events; then do a search.
RALLY OBEDIENCE TRIALS
Rally is a new version of obedience which does not require the high-level of accuracy. It is done on a course that is set up similar to an agility course. Most dogs with basic obedience can learn to do Rally without the extensive training which is required for regular obedience. You are allowed to talk to and encourage your dog throughout the course.
